Screening
My Winnipeg and Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton

Part of The Hollywood Classics behind Walkers
Saturday, December 12, 2015, 2:00 p.m.

My Winnipeg (Dir. Guy Maddin. 2007, 80 mins.) and Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton (Dirs. Guy Maddin, Evan Johnson, Galen Johnson, 2015, 30 mins.). Canadian filmmaker Guy Maddin reinvents the city symphony film with his personal and entertaining “docu-fantasia” about his beloved hometown, that strange northern city that seems to be populated by hockey fans and sleepwalkers. Preceded by Maddin's delightfully subversive new short film, Bring Me the Head of Tim Horton, made with Evan Johnson and Galen Johnson, using footage from Maddin's filming of footage for an electronic press kit on the set of the war movie Hyena Road.
